If you’re the parent or carer of a child at Tufnell Park School, these pages are specifically for you.
Starting School will tell you what to expect if your child is starting Nursery or Reception, leaving Reception for Year 1, or moving up from Infants to Juniors (Year 2 to Year 3).
We want to make sure that your children are at school as often as possible so that we can give them an excellent education. Our Attendance page tells you how we manage absences, as well as stating your responsibilities as a parent to ensure that your child attends school regularly.
If you’re seeking information about something specific – school dinners, holidays, who to ask about worries or concerns, what children may bring or wear to school and all sorts of other queries – the Frequently Asked Questions page is a good place to start.
Additional questions about aspects of the school day are dealt with in Looking after your child.
Extended Day gives details of provision outside normal school hours: breakfast club and after school options. It’s not the same as the school clubs, which are part of school life outside the classroom.
Our headteacher communicates directly with families via a bulletin that goes out by email and on paper. If you need to check past issues for news or dates, you’ll find them here.
We feel lucky at Tufnell Park that parents and carers are so very much part of the school community. Take a look at the various ways other parents get involved, either directly with the school or via our active PTA. There’s a big range of possibilities and we’re always open to new ideas.
Finally, for other family-related services and information you may need, take a look at our Useful Links page. Please let us know if you discover a useful link we should add.
Parents are encouraged to tell Ofsted what they think about the school. Click the ‘Give your views now’ button on the Ofsted website
